We went out to the lava field in Makena yesterday. The photos don't really do it justice but here's one anyhow. We couldn't go on the hike we wanted to because they don't allow animals in the park and the lava rocks are really sharp so they would cut her paws up! Don't worry Mom, the last time the volcano erupted was in 1790. :o)
