Turkey Day and Black Friday

We were jet-lagged so the turkey coma was that much more intense.

Showing Pop-pop her favorite thing: the ceiling fan.

Haircuts needed. :o)

Black Friday dinner. As if we weren't already full from Thanksgiving ...

Note to self: take photos before the kids get this tired ...

Hawaii Five-Oh

Get ready folks. We went to Hawaii for two weeks and saw LOTS of friends and played in lots of waves. We tried to cram in all of our favorite people and activities into one vacation and did a pretty good job. But we have to go back. We just have to.

Elliott was a rockstar on the planes. We got compliments from our neighbors on her excellent behavior. Our trip out there started with a 2 hour delay on the tarmac but then we got an extra seat for her and a free stay in an LA hotel because we missed our connection. It ended up working out because she adjusted to the time change pretty easily. She was great on the red eye home, too -- the only adjustment she isn't making is seeing Jas leave for work now that we're home!

Exhausted baby plays peek-a-boo in LA hotel ...

Random photo that didn't fit in anywhere else. What a weirdo.

Salt water, sand and sunscreen make for excellent pigtails.

One beach, two beach, three beach, four.

Do not look directly at the pasty white New England skin ...

Sun protection part one: sunscreen!

Sun protection part two: layers.

Brushing Daddy's hair:

I'd like to take this off and go swimming now, please.

She wanted to charge the waves. At BIG BEACH. No fear.

Ushering her out of the water:

I push you over with my sandy hands!

Stand-up paddle boarding at Kanaha. I was still better at it than Jas. :o)

Maya got Elliott in the face with a sandy hand right after this shot. They eventually became friends again.

She napped in the car every day to keep up with our adventurous schedule.

Theme of the week

Elliott loves dogs. We're lucky our friends have such friendly, patient dogs ...

La Casa del Jett

Ricci and Michelle were the hostesses with the mostestes. Mornings back at home are lonely with out the thunderous pitter-patter of Jett's feet followed by a knock on the kitchen door and the morning greeting of "Hi Da-deeeee."

Michelle channeled Clark Griswold. It took several tries but those candy-canes look goooood.

Jason's creative alternative use for puzzle pieces:

BFFs always dress alike.
