Home Ownership is Fun?

Talie and I were having a grumpy morning (OK so it was me, not her) but some friends convinced us to have lunch at the playground. After a gust of wind blew my salad all over my lap and another one knocked Talie over, we called it a day and .... we came home to this disaster:

T won't go in her room.  Thankfully we have the baby room -- we took off the front of the crib and she can sleep in the toddler bed until we get everything fixed. What a mess.

Thankfully we were not home -- I'm pretty sure I would have gone into labor. Or worse considering this is what happened to the deck and this is what we were doing yesterday:

The church had already called their tree guys before I got home so once the wind died down a bit, they brought in 2 cranes and a cherry picker to get rid of the tree.  Then the tarp guys came and waterproofed it -- they were here until 8pm and the rain started at about 8:15. Oh and we are due to get 6 inches of snow this week.

More March?

Backdating this because it has been a bit busy around here! Commence binge blogging session!

Sister bonding time before catching the bus.

Topless Tuesday playdate!

Oh New England, you are adorable with your inconsistent weather patterns.

Before and after -- several fun projects in the "couch room."

Sweaty chair nap.

Backpack of soft friends, sparkly shoes, bike helmet, and a sled. Sure, why not?

March March March

Open Gym at the Y! Wheee!

This is what happens when Talie is up WAY too early and given permission to go downstairs to get a snack.

Talie's favorite part of sports class is the RUNNING!

Career Day at school

Working from home is serious business.

I love Talie's smirk in this photo. "Ha -- look what I talked my sister into doing. What a sucker."

New builtin cabinets! I've been wanting this organization for years and I am SO HAPPY with the way they turned out! YAY!

"I'm driving to Daddy's work!"

"Mommy, why you laughin'?"

SPRING HAS SPRUNG!  We are expecting several inches of snow this weekend so I had to take a picture while these beauties are still alive ...

Helping me wash dishes = 15 minutes of quiet

"I'm Daddy!"

Elliott has started playing lacrosse on Saturdays -- Talie also enjoys sports.

Birthday Love

Jas' birthday was Easter Sunday so we headed over to the Hohenstiens' house for adoped family BBQ fun. Too bad the stomach bug hit E during dinner ...

Baby Update

Status is green on the baby front. It is hard to tie my shoes and my back starts to ache at about 4pm (sometimes by 10am!) but I am healthy and active and exercising and everything looks good so far. The girls are SO EXCITED for their baby sister.  Talie was attached to the name "Chicken Nugget Butterfly" for a while but recently she's been favoring "Taco" and "Milk Shake." I think she must be hungry every time we ask her about it. Current cravings are pineapple and Cinnamon Toast Crunch (AKA Mommy's fiber cereal. HA!).

25 weeks

T wanted to send a picture of the baby to Jas while he was in Spain.  She's quite the photographer.

E, T, and TBD all at about 27 weeks. E was up in my ribs, T was way off the the left, and this one is LOW!

She is very active at bedtime -- she's little enough that there is plenty of space in there to move around and the girls love to feel her move around. Well, actually, they think it is HILARIOUS that they can feel her butt.

Naptime ... kind of

Talie has been giving up her nap over the last few months. She'll go in her room for quiet time and once or twice a week she'll fall asleep in absurd places. She is a BEAR when she wakes up from a nap but it is worth it because I usually need a nap!

The sitter had put her to bed (in her own room) without any drama but we came home to find her in our bed with all the lights on!

Sometimes she takes a nap with me ... and her Elsa wand and (not pictured) her piggy bank.

4pm car rides are still tough to get through.

Then there are days when I NEED to lie down and I let her decide where to have her quiet time ...
