Bug in my ear ...

A few years ago, my dad had a bug fly into his ear. We have made fun of him for years because of his over-the-top-freak-out reaction. This morning, I called to apologize for laughing at him. Here's why:

Last night, I woke up with a start because something had flown INTO MY EAR. Jason thought I was having a nightmare but no, this was real. I completely freaked. Let me tell you: I've become extremely tolerant of bugs here because well, there are a lot of them. However, I will never get used to cockroaches and I had seen one the week before so in my half-asleep state, I convinced myself that a cockroach had climbed into my ear and that it was EATING MY BRAIN. Ears are very sensitive things -- and when there is something in the ear canal moving of it's own volition, it is LOUD AS F. And scary. Needless to say, I freaked. I woke up Krissy and my neighbors. I couldn't help it -- I could not calm myself. I had a complete meltdown and cried like a little girl. There was a cockroach in my ear and it was EATING MY BRAIN. Or so I thought.

Don't worry, Jason was able to flush it out with a squirty thing of water. And no, it was not a cockroach. It was however, a moth. A medium to small sized moth.

It was horrible.

So Dad: I'm sorry for making fun.

Krissy is a photographer
