Sprinkler!!

Nothing beats a run in the sprinkler on a hot day. E and M had to take a break to have some "tea."

E was thirsty ...

Rockaway BBQ

The annual BBQ was as big as ever -- 3 bands played and Elliott danced ALL DAY LONG. She was a maniac. As always, videos to be edited some time before she graduates college.

The week in review

Our favorite hat from last spring/fall still fits! And yes, for those of you not in Boston, it has been cold enough outside the last few days that she has needed a hat. In the kitchen? Maybe not.

Take-out menu roulette:

With us as always ... Stanley the dog.

She so rarely just sits quietly ... I had to document it but I didn't want to disturb her.

I sent this photo of my not-quite-2 year old playing with an iPad to my 91 year old grandmother who read the email on HER iPad. Oh technology.

Yogurt continues to be funny.

SUNSHINE! BUBBLES!

"Quick walk, Mommy."

We have a billion hand-me-downs from friends and cousins so Elliott will be sporting a new outfit every day from now until November. Her favorite thing so far is her new pair of shiny shoes. I can't get them off of her feet.

Free Entertainment

What could possibly keep the attention of 14 toddlers all at the same time?

Construction vehicles.

Party hard

Elliott partied hard at a friend's birthday party -- she ZONKED in the car.

This is what happens at 5:30pm on a Friday when she refuses to nap. Notice the half-eaten pretzel on her chest.

Messy Cleanliness

Elliott was nice enough to spread everything out in the hallway while I cleaned the bathroom floor.

This week's activity at playgroup: shaving cream. Elliott wouldn't go near it. Ha!

Scout found a bucket of muddy rainwater in the backyard ...

... Elliott was much more enthused about giving Scout a bath than Scout was about getting one.

Stone Zoo

It has been cold and rainy for ... weeks. Saturday was nice and sunny (we had birthday lunch for Ant Lindsay and then went to a cookout but I didn't take any photos -- but trust me, we saw the sun). Sunday we went up to Stone Zoo -- Elliott LOVES animals.

Yes, she is wearing a hat. It was COLD. But it wasn't crowded so that was nice.

FLAMINGOS!!!!

Fun Outside

She asks me almost every time we're outside to open the basement door but I always tell her I don't have the keys. The other day she was playing with my house keys and spent ten minutes trying to use them to open the door.

She really likes to wear her hat outside (even if it is 65 degrees out). She also likes to put it on by herself.

Picking flowers:

She also likes Scout to wear her hat.

I was very impressed with her hand eye coordination here:
