Trick or Treat!

We don't have a neighborhood at our house (we are right on a main road), so we invited ourselves over to my friend's house to go trick or treating with them!  The rain stopped just in time for us to tromp through some puddles and get more than a handful of candy at a handful of houses.  Halloween has never been a favorite of mine but it is slightly more enjoyable with kids who are excited about it.  Not as fun as Christmas though. :o)

Jas is such a good sport -- he was the cat to Talie's mouse but she was too distracted by the toys in the other room to be in this photo.

Leaves!

Obligatory (but adorable) leaf pile photo shoot:

Halloween Stuff

Once again, my mom wins the award for most talented costume maker in all the land.  E changed her mind about 12 times but finally settled on a pattern for a "beautiful winter fairy" costume.  When they went to pick out fabric, she wanted super bright colors so she's more of a summer fairy but whatever.  GORGEOUS.  And then Dee Dee saw this Tinkerbell costume (she just HAPPENED to be at the Disney Store and it was "on sale" ... hee hee) with jingly shoes.  So cute.  We had two MOMS club events this week -- the parade at an assisted living place in town and the party at the church next door.  Lots of fun -- Elliott thinks Halloween is over so going trick or treating next week will be a big surprise!

One of these fairies is happier than the other ...

We weren't sure what to do with the bales of hay from the "photo booth" after the party so we tossed them over the fence into my backyard -- hay makes good compost, right?

Parade time!

Indoor Fun

Yikes.  It has been a while since I've updated the blog.  Here's what we've been up to recently:

Snuggling.

Avocado teeth.  BAH HA HA HA!

"So ... are you gonna open those?  Because I can help if you want me to ..."

Next week on Project Runway ...

Elliott desperately wants to help Talie do everything but we are approaching the time when she doesn't need the help and gets frustrated when her sister won't just leave her alone!

T is getting stronger every day.

I fear Scout is getting a little fat.  She cleans up all of the dropped food which is GREAT because it is less work for me ... except when she parks herself under the girls while they are doing the dropping ... Cleaning ham, avocado, milk, and banana out of her fur is not a fun task.

E was trying to get her baby to stop crying.  Swaying and bouncing and shushing.  So sweet.

Somehow, Uncle Matt convinced her that "adventure nap" was a good game.  I think she was in a pirate ship (slash laundry basket).

I love how wide open her eyes are.  This baby loves her food.

She also loves her sister.  E was in the other room narrating her arts and crafts project and T was listening to every word.

I was helping E with something in the other room and I KNEW it had been too quiet for too long ...

What the ... ?

For the love.  How old is she? 22?

Outdoor Fun

Who needs a double stroller?  When E gets tired of riding her bike, she hops on the front of the stroller and I pack the bike up on top.

WHEN DID SHE GET SO BIG?!?

"GASP!  MOMMY!  I can flip upside down!  I can't wait to show my cousin Mia!"
