Halloween

A beautiful purple butterfly, Alexander Hamilton, and (crowd favorite) Boss Baby.

The Halloween party at MassBallet is always fun!

Jas and I were both able to help in E's classroom on Halloween (brilliantly pajama day) carving pumpkins

October

I've started delegating hair duty.

Toddlers in overalls. Yes please.

This year's morning list is bilingual

Pre-school apple picking wiff Daddy

Safety first!

I don't remember why we were in her room watching a show but this picture cracks me up

We took a last minute trip to NY, dropped the girls with Nana, and headed to Manhattan for 26 hours. We got caught in the loudest parade ever, had margaritas at lunch, worked on handstands in the hotel room, saw The Lion King, and got 9+ hours of sleep. Success.

Jas got a new giant paella pan for the fire pit -- perfect for water play.

Talie had gone upstairs for quiet time at an odd hour and I saw her on Quinn's monitor.

Open House at Talie's school

I am at Elliott's school a LOT. I'm (happily) available to come for all the presentations (she speaks Spanish almost as fast and confidently as she speaks English), I'm at drama club twice a week, and I stuff folders for her teacher every Friday. I was so honored to be featured on her class's list of "People who are noteworthy." This year, of the 200+ kids in drama who recognize me, I know at least 150 of them by name and can recognize almost all of them. Yeah, at Barbieri, I'm kind of a big deal. HA!

Legs McMoens

Friday night laps around the church.

Second breakfast on a sunny Saturday

Talie and Maddie are FAST! Oh, so this was a birthday party that was a total mom-fail on my part. We were running late, and hit EVERY red light so were a full 15 minutes late.  But when we arrived at the party ... we didn't recognize anyone ... we weren't just at the wrong party, we were at the wrong indoor soccer place, in the wrong town. Ugh. So we had to sheepishly fish the birthday gift out of the bucket of gifts, hop pack into the car, and arrive to the correct birthday VERY late. Talie is such an agreeable kid, she didn't mind at all.

PUDDLES ARE SO MUCH FUN!

This is the face she gives when she is mad. I had just refused to give her more granola bar because her mouth was already FULL of granola bar.

We had GORGEOUS weather for soccer every weekend. And when E had double headers, her teammates were quick to come play with little sisters!

Pumpkin coffee, sunshine, and yesterday's eyeliner. Life is good.

Devin Suau 10/27/10-10/20/17

Devin lost his battle with DIPG on Friday, October 20. We are all heartbroken. If prayer is your thing, please say a prayer for Devin, Christine, Jay, and their boys. Talie offered up that maybe Devin is playing with Scout in heaven -- to which Elliott responded that they definitely were and that they live in the same house as Pappy and Grandma and they're all a family.

Everyone in town (and more) wore green today, what would have been his 7th birthday.

I hope I never had to go to a funeral for a kid again. The video game truck was a great distraction for the kids. At Devin's school, the superintendent was sitting in as the secretary answering phones and his admin staff helped fill in as substitutes so that the staff and teachers could attend the funeral.

"Do I look different to you? That's because I'm six now."

"JuJu, take me THAT WAY."
Hug your little ones, big ones, furry ones, any ones close tonight.

Wisconsin

Naked Baby and Little Brudder tied the knot!
We traveled on Uncle Matt's birthday so reused our Uncle Matt birthday shirts!

We love Auntie Lauren!

Oh there was singing. Yes, yes, there was singing.

We rented a great townhouse within walking distance of the wedding. These cousins had SO MUCH FUN!

And the hotel had a pool! Bonus!

"I SEE AUNTIE LAUREN!"

All dolled up for the rehearsal dinner. E only gave me a little lip about having to be fancy. She'd much rather be in sneakers.

Q was a little overwhelmed by all the people and wouldn't tolerate anyone but her mom ... until Uncle Thomas held her.

Tumble dance party

We traveled with TWENTY PAIRS OF SHOES. And we used every single pair.

These girls are excellent travelers. They are already asking when we can go on another airplane trip.
