Elliott had a conversation with her baby this morning and apparently she'll be here in two more sleeps. So stay tuned ...

Halloween
We have been talking a lot about the order of events over the last several months -- first we're going on vacation and then it is Elliott's birthday and then SCHOOL and then Halloween, etc. If you ask E when her baby is going to be here, she says "after Halloween!" So today we had our big Halloween party with the MOMS Club and on the way home, she asked: "Was that Halloween?" I said yes and asked her what's next ... "The baby! Is she coming right NOW?" So we're on baby watch 2012!!!
Final Countdown
38 weeks, folks. Any day now, there will be another Moensi! It is getting increasingly harder to move, sleep, move ... I'll take a good belly picture this weekend -- unless I'm otherwise occupied having a baby that is!

Costume Parade
The MOMS Club had a costume parade at an assisted living facility this week. The kids and residents both had fun -- who doesn't love a gaggle of toddlers in Halloween costumes?

Rapunzel!
My mom made all of my Halloween costumes growing up (as well as most of my Nutcracker costumes and lots of my holiday dresses -- she also made most of her own clothes and prom dresses when she was a teenager). She has put all of those dresses to shame with this costume. It is a work of ART.

| We've entered the "can I bring some friends?" stage. She can bring as many friends downstairs as she can carry provided she can still hold onto the railing. That left arm can hold a LOT of friends. |

Apple Picking Adventure
For the most part, Elliott will not tell me any details about her school day. She typically responds to my line of questioning with: "shhh Mommy! I can't tell you -- it's a SECRET." Apparently preschool is like fight club. Last week, we got a permission slip for an apple picking field trip on a Friday afternoon -- she doesn't go to school on Fridays so I just put it aside and didn't give it another thought ... UNTIL I mentioned apple picking to her one afternoon and she launched into this big long story about how she was going to go apple picking with Miss Donna and they were going to take a SCHOOL BUS. It was the first story about school she'd told me and she told it with such gusto and passion that I immediately emailed her teacher to see if it was too late to add her to the list. It wasn't (phew!) and Jas decided to chaperone so they went on their apple picking adventure on a SCHOOL BUS!
