McTuri New Year's Eve

If you need any carpentry work done in your home, these two are opening up their own contracting shop.

INTENSE game of tag.

Even the dads got in on the game.

Girls Night

Nacho dip and girl talk with Miss Yissa, Joellyn and Miss Bigda. Ha! Elliott pulled out a photo from the bookcase of the four of us from high school -- "This is you! And you! And you!"

New favorite game

Elliott's new favorite imaginative game is pretending to sleep ... it's ironic really because she is trying to give up her nap.

This one actually might be less imagination and more of a defensive reaction to Christmas over-stimulation ...

Rockaway Christmas

Matchy-matchy never looked so good.

We headed to New York after brunch and stopped for our 2nd Annual Chinese food dinner on the way.  This is a shot of E trying to call Auntie Yawn and then Uncle Matt on the iPad.  She was very frustrated that the internet was not working in the car.

Christmas Morning

"Mommy?  Can I have breakfast?"  Nothing comes between this kid and her morning caloric intake.  Not even Santa.

A handful of fluffy white snowflakes started to fall as we were opening presents.  It was just so pretty.

Pappy was a trooper and was up with us at 7:30 but he needed a nap at 7:45.

Crafting Queens

Our Christmas gifts had a LOT of extra tape this year.  And Pappy's gift bag had ALL of the ribbon.  All of it.

Playing with oatmeal at art class was MESSY!

This ... was a lot of crafting.

Paper Bag Princess Fail.  Too wide.  Trader Joe's bags work better.

Some Stuff

Best dog ever.

Napping with the sun in her eyes

My running buddy

Alternating between cleaning and playing the banjo.

These two play so well together -- it was only a minute ago they were this big.

It has been unseasonably warm recently so we've been able to take Scout for lots of walks in the woods -- which reminds me that I need to put more tick stuff on Scout since it hasn't been cold enough to kill all the ticks yet.  Speaking of ticks, why haven't they been Darwin-ed out of the food chain?  Do they serve any purpose at all?

"Mommy, I'm just watching the news."

Between the "beautiful ballerinas" experience and mommy's "dance class" rehearsals, she has been  dancing up a storm in tutus.  Her favorite is "the Mr. Billy Flynn" song from Chicago but she'll jump around and do somersaults to anything with a beat.

Comedy all the time

She loves her Uncle Matt.
