My very good friend's 6 year old has recently been diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor (DIPG) and we are devastated. It is a horrible horrible thing for a family to have to go through and our community has stepped up with meals, support, and fundraisers. Elliott very kindly and politely explained to a curious library patron what the #whynotdevin display was about and why she had a green streak in her hair (Devin loves Green Lantern and we got the hair extension at a fundraiser). The Suau family is one of my all-time favorite families and it breaks my heart to see them hurting.
