Elliott had a GREAT year at kindergarten. She cried twice on the last day because she didn't want to have summer vacation. She LOVES school.
She wrote little thank you notes to her three teachers: "Thank you for getting new milk for me when mine was frozen." That was a day Mrs Carter doesn't even remember but E talks about all the time. It's the little things that make a difference. "Thank you for helping me write." "Thank you for helping me when I got confused." LOVE.
A part of my heart died when my 5 year old came home after the emergency evacuation drill and told me that the only time it is OK to stand on the toilets at school is when there are bad guys in the school. The world is a horrible place. Being an elementary school principal is probably a scary job. I hope Ms Laguarda knows that my daughter appreciates the work she does.
