March Anniversaries

March is full of important dates.  In Jas' family they call it "March Madness" because there are SO MANY birthdays in March. The 15th is my 5th anniversary of being a stay-at-home mom. On the 26th, J and I have the 15th anniversary of our first date. Today is a sadder anniversary but still one to remember: my dad passed away one year ago today. Sometimes I forget that it happened at all because it doesn't seem real.  And sometimes the grief is so sudden and intense it feels like he left us yesterday. My girls are a constant reminder of what who he was: they have both inherited his humor.  His friend Dan shared these pictures and I wanted to put them here, too.  He was just so freakin' funny.
